About the artist
Christopher Hall was born in 1930 and studied at the Slade in the early 1950's. His artistic approach is essentially traditional.

Christopher Hall is renowned for depicting the remoter regions of France. He is a sensitive and distinguished painter of landscape and urban subjects. He sketches village folk and farmers simply getting on with everyday life.

A regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy Summer exhibitions, he was elected RBA in 1988 and to the Royal Cambrian Academy in 1994. His works are represented in the collections of the Arts Council, the Museum of London, the art galleries of Reading, Carmarthan and the National Library of Wales.
