Decisions about the overall direction of the Charity are made by its Directors with advice from other members of its Management Committee. The Management Committee is elected by the many members of the charitable company.

The individual and group members are people with a special interest in the charity and many of the local health and social care related organisations in Wandsworth.

At present the charity is primarily funded by Wandsworth Borough Council to whom it is contracted to provide an advice service for people who live in the borough. It also benefits from a small number of grants from other bodies to help with specific aspects of its work as well as from donations.

You will probably meet Esther or Marlene at your first interview. The volunteers carry out subsequent home visits or office interviews to help people to fill in forms.

Everyone keeps clear notes of their discussions with you so that they can deal with your concerns if you call when the person you last spoke to is not available.

Each volunteer is in the office on one or two days a week only (though usually the same day or days each week).
